HONESDALE, PA — There will be a meeting of the Delaware Highlands Mushroom Society (DHMS) on Monday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Honesdale Wellness Center at 602 Church Street. The society was started last year as an organization bringing together fungi enthusiasts and those interested in learning about mushrooms. It hosted several walks last year in search of mushrooms, tapping into local knowledge and informing those beginning to learn.

The DHMS is especially seeking core members who know about mushrooms and would like to share their knowledge, members with non-profit and other organizational experience who are willing to help, and enthusiastic volunteers with computer skills or simply the desire to help. The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will not be a class but is primarily for those who are interested in getting involved with the group.
