Liberty, NY – As part of the recently announced group effort to stop fraud, waste and abuse, the Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force has made the following arrests:
September 28, 2017–Tyrone C. Fleming, 59, of Liberty was arrested and charged with the Class D Felony of Welfare Fraud 3rd and Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st.It is alleged that Fleming stole $4,043.20 in Medicaid Benefits. Fleming was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and was released pending a future court date.
September 27, 2017–Daniel L. Davis Jr., 43, of Liberty was arrested and charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Non Support of a Child 2nd. It is alleged that Davis owes $41,621.32 in unpaid child support. Davis was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released pending a future court date.
September 29, 2017–Tavia S. Heintz, 24,of Monticello was arrested and charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Welfare Fraud 5th. It is alleged that Heintzstole $1,175 in HEAP benefits.Heintz was released on an appearance ticket pending her appearance in Town of Liberty Court.
