Monticello police arrested Brian O.Taylor, age 35, of Monticello, on Thursday 8/10/17. Taylor was charged with 2 counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, misdemeanor criminally using drug paraphernalia and the violation of unlawful possession of marihuana.
At 10:30 AM Thursday Monticello police executed a “No-Knock” search warrant at Taylor’s apartment located at #40 Cottage Street in the Village of Monticello. Seized from Taylor’s residence was 59.7 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, a small quantity of marijuana and $1179.00 in US currency.
Taylor was arraigned before acting Village of Monticello Justice Leo Glass and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $35,000.00 bail pending further court action. Monticello police were assisted by the Sullivan County District Attorney Office and New York State Police.
