GLEN SPEY, NY — Melissa Gilbert is hosting the first of many events for the True Blue Democrats of the Delaware: A Fundraiser to Elect Meagan Galligan Sullivan County District Attorney.
The benefit for Galligan will be held on August 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Burn Brae Mansion in Glen Spey. COVID restrictions will be in place, and a limited number of people will be able to attend in two sections of 50 people: 5:30 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Donations of $100 per person will be met with food and other libations served.
True Blue Democrats of the Delaware was founded by a group of Sullivan County residents that "struggle to find true blue Democrats to fill posts that represent actual Democratic ideals, not just a Democratic voter registration. One of the group's leaders, Melissa Gilbert, the star of "Little House on the Prairie," is a recent transplant to Sullivan County and hit the ground running with her local activism, founding the group and registering people to vote at the Barryville Farmers' Market.
True Blue Democrats of the Delaware demand and will vet more candidates who are: pro-environment; pro-farming; pro-living wage; pro-diversity, human rights, and justice for all; pro-small business; pro-sustainable development; pro-National Democratic Candidates.
