We all know that prices are too high. I see it every time I go to the grocery store or the pharmacy. Big companies raised their prices during COVID and they never came down. And now CEOs are making more and more money while families like mine struggle to pay the bills. 

I know there’s no easy solution. But Matt Cartwright cut my family’s taxes and gave us economic breathing room during a really challenging time. 

In 2021, Matt passed tax relief for working families. He helped expand the child tax credit, just as I had a new baby. That really helped my family cover all of the expenses that pile up after you leave the hospital. Child care, diapers and wipes—it adds up! 

This tax break came at just the right time. My husband is in the trucking field, and anyone who knows that industry can tell you how much it was turned upside down by the pandemic. There was a lot of uncertainty going around at that time. It really helped to have someone putting more money back in our pocket. 

I’m really grateful Matt is fighting to make this tax break permanent. Any parent can tell you how quickly bills add up with young kids. Matt knows that working families deserve a break.
