Mamie Marie Meyer (“Peggy”) was born January 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Arthur and Louise Turner, in the carriage house of Burn Brae Mansion of the Elkin Estate in Glen Spey, NY, as were many of her brothers and sisters. Peggy was a lifelong and many-generation native of Lumberland, NY.

Peggy attended school in a one-room schoolhouse in Glen Spey, then graduated from Eldred Central School. She worked at Andmore Swimwear, Barbara’s Quilting and Kaplan Littman factories in Port Jervis, NY. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a member of the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry G. Meyer, Jr. in 1986. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Meyer and his wife Janice of Cover, SC, Kenneth Meyer and his wife Therese of Middletown, NY, Charles Meyer and his wife Candace of Shohola, PA; her daughters Debra Meyer of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Kathleen Yennie and her husband Brian of Sparrowbush, NY; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Pond Eddy Methodist Church, Pond Eddy, NY on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, with Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Burial followed in Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey.
