PARKSVILLE, NY — The Parksville neighborhood will soon get to enjoy its first Impact Library through the Little Free Library organization.
“Sarah Litwin has graciously donated a spot on the sidewalk at her family’s pharmacy building at the corner of Main and Short Streets in Parksville,” Dr. Hope Blecher said in an email. “I applied for the Impact Grant and it was awarded by the Little Free Library organization. This included the charter sign and a box of English and Spanish books.”
The location was selected because it is also a school bus stop for local youth. The location will be added to the Little Free Library organization’s virtual map.
“This is a tiny, mighty, beautiful step for our community,” Blecher said. “I pledge to lead at least two read-alouds a year at this location.”
