LIBERTY, NY — Travis D. Mervine, 33, of Liberty, NY, was arrested on May 22 and charged with felony criminal mischief.
On Monday, May 13, a sheriff’s deputy assigned to security at the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello, NY, discovered a broken window at the building’s loading dock when he reported for duty at 6:30 a.m. The deputy discovered a rock nearby that was apparently thrown through the glass.
Another incident of a broken window at the old Trotter’s Tavern on Broadway in Monticello had also been reported.
An investigation by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Monticello Police Department identified the defendant, who was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Monticello court on June 3 at 9 a.m.
