Liberty, council, Democratic Candidate Elliot Schneider

First let me say, I am honored and privileged to be allowed to run for this position, of town council of Liberty. I have lived here for more than 30 years. We have so much potential. I have invested a lot of my time and money here. I opened the Pursuit of Happiness Café and Music Club (now McCabes) years ago and brought to the town many artists such as Richie Havens, Billy Preston, Tito Puente, Levon Helm, Jack Hardy, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Rick Danko, John Popper, Roger McGuinn, Doc Watson, Bill Monroe and many other great musicians, singer-songwriters and excellent open mic shows. I believed in Liberty and still do.

The times have changed; now we have different issues to deal with. We can meet the challenge. The question is: How do we bring Liberty into the 21st century? I want your input and ideas. I would like to see Liberty become a model for other communities. We can tap into the diverse array of people and their talents we have right here. I am able to speak the language of the local Hispanic population and am able to communicate with that segment of people.
Currently, I am a real estate broker. In the past, I’ve taught English as a Second Language in New York City Public schools and at Sullivan Correctional Facility.
