Lawrence R.V. “Rob” Potter of Callicoon, NY died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 38.

The son of Lawrence Potter and Darlene Roney, he was born October 26, 1973 in Susquehanna, PA.

Rob graduated from Hancock Central School in 1991, and from Penn State with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 1995. He was a member of the Callicoon United Methodist Church, and an Eagle Scout. Rob was the sports editor for the Sullivan County Democrat.

Surviving are his father, Lawrence; his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Russell Burnett; brothers Michael, Justin, Jeffrey and Patrick; maternal grandmother Rose Roney; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Lake Como United Methodist Church in Lake Como, PA. Interment followed in the Lake Como Cemetery.
