Hello, everyone, hope all is well. The weather has been so nice this weekend—okay, we did have that rainstorm on Saturday. I have been out and about today—I stopped by Genco's Fire House, Paul and Sharon have so many nice old antiques to sell you. I would like to give a BIG Thank you to RN Kathy Ray and Nurse Practitioner Scott Morgan of Grover Hermann hospital for making my ER visit a good experience.

I am okay, all is good. Believe me you do not want to know—okay, I will tell you, but do not laugh: it was a boil.

On Saturday, July 8, there is a Turtle Trot 10k and relay on July 8 in Kenoza Lake in memory of Doug Ackermann and Brenna Werlau Darling. Walkers start at 7:30, runners at 8:00. For more info, contact April Ackermann Rutledge at 845/701-9054 or email farmerack@yahoo.com

Sunday July 9th the Cochecton Democrat Club is hosting a Penny Social at The Lake Huntington Pizzeria Restaurant 23 Crestwood Rd. Doors open at 1 p.m. with calling at 2 p.m. For more information please give Peggy a call at 845/932-8104.

On Tuesday, July 11, the Cochecton Preservation Society will host a Pot Luck Dinner at 11 Erie Depot, 8537 State Route 97 . Bring a dish and have fun! RSVP at 845/932-8104. The train station is being painted along with Bob White's Outhouse; and the Butterfly Rest Stop is planted; Bicentennial Books of Cochecton Papers and Cochecton Papers II are available for sale, $20 each. Saturday July 15th The Lake Huntington Fire Co. is hosting a Chicken BBQ, which includes 1/2 chicken, potato salad, baked beans, cranberry sauce, roll with butter and dessert. To get a ticket or 10, call RuthAnn at 845/932-8514. If Ed picks up tell him I said hi. You can always see a fireman for tickets also.
