I was out and about over the weekend, and I went to CRMC Grover Hermann Auxiliary Health and Children’s Craft Fair. It was not a very nice out—it rained all day. The stream of people were steadily coming and going to get their chicken BBQ. I enjoyed hanging out with the Cotton Candy Man, Jerry Yavarkovsky.

It takes a good group of people to put something like this on. Dottie Schlegel left me a message to put a “thank you” in my column, and you all know when Dottie talks you listen. Thank you to all the volunteers, hospital staff, veterans and the community for making this a success.

I had to go to Brooklyn on Thursday to go to a friend’s funeral on my way down I stopped to see Fr. Bill.

Fr. Joe Juracek, OFM, who used to be up in Obernburg at St. Mary’s, was visiting. We all had a good time, both Fr Bill and Fr. Joe were so sorry to hear about all of the damage that the tornado caused. They are going to keep us all in their thoughts and prayers. Fr. Bill is doing well—he says “hi” and that he is hanging in there.
