It’s a little wet out there this weekend, all I can say is its better than snow. You do not have to shovel rain, hope no one flooded. Stay safe.

The Cochecton Youth Commission still has room on the bus to go see The Knicks on March 11. For more info call Sue at 845/866-0853. There is an opening on the CYC board, so if you are interested, call Sue and follow CYC on facebook.

Save the Date: Saturday March 17. St. Patrick’s Dinner at Holy Cross Church at 2 p.m. For reservations, mail a check by March 10 to James Henke at Po Box 215 Callicoon, NY 12723 with number of tickets. Adults, $15; children 7-15, $10; kids under 6, free.

Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church will host a pancake supper on March 24. More info to follow.

Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid hosts a Penny Social on April 21. More to follow as the time gets closer.

I am going to keep this event in my column right up to the date of the event. I think it is a very important event to help out one of our local families. 

ROYCROFT’S ROAR TRICKY TRAY will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, a BENEFIT for Dottie Champion Roycroft, at the Delaware Youth Center, Callicoon, NY. Doors open at 1pm Calling at 2;30, Special Raffles 50/50, refreshments available for purchase. Admission $5.00, additional tickets $5.00 or 3 for $10. Specials tables $2 each, or 6 for $10. Grand Special Table $3/each or 4 for $10. 50/50’s $1.00 each, or an arm’s length for $10. Special Admission package $10 ($15 value) includes Admission, 1 50/50, 3 Special Raffles and 1 Grand Special Raffle. Dottie is battling leukemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. She and her husband have triplets and live in Cochecton. If you would like to make a donation to the Tricky Tray or to the family, please give Penny Ackerman a call at 845-701-2065
