I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and all the leftovers. I had a great time at my brother Teddy’s, and after dessert we played charades. I can still crack up thinking of some of the stunts. Nothing like spending time with family. Having four days off from work was great, but I just got back from six days off on a trip to Vegas. I only worked Wednesday last week; next week is going to be rough.

My nose is coming along. I don’t remember if I told you or not, but they had to move the bone in my nose, so that is still sore. My sinuses are doing well—no more ear or eye pain. It was great running into people at Pete’s Market that I know from Queens, hunters and friends, over the weekend.

It’s that time of year when Santa will be out and about before Christmas, visiting all the boys and girls—and I guess adults as well. Dates and times in Narrowsburg: on December 3, Santa will be at the Tusten Town Hall from 5 to 6 or 7 p.m.; on December 9, Santa will be at the Tusten tree lighting at 5 p.m. on Main Street; on December 10, the Santa Express will be in front of the Narrowsburg Union at 7 p.m. The Narrowsburg Diner will host Santa on December 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (RSVP to 845/252-9921 by December 14). Santa will be in Jeffersonville on December 10 at 5 p.m. in the center of town. If you want to have a fabulous time with the Santa Express visit its Facebook page, facebook.com/santaexpress to find the times of all its visits to neighboring towns.

Do you like basketball? Join the Cochecton Youth Commission (CYC) on a full-day bus trip to watch the New York Knicks vs. the Toronto Raptors on March 11, 2018 at Madison Square Garden. The price and all other details will be posted soon; CYC trips are always free to Cochecton Youth. Sign-ups will be held on December 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the town hall, along with sign-up for the CYC Holiday Christmas Party with Santa on Saturday, December 16 for Cochecton youth only.

The CYC has a board member opening. If you would like to join, please call Sue Rodriguez at 845/866-0853 or attend its monthly meetings held at the Cochecton Town Hall, the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
