You will all be happy to know after my second post op doctor’s visit, I feel so much better. I had to go back a second time because I could not breathe. I had a blockage in my nasal cavity, a big dried up blood clot.  Once the ENT removed that and cleaned out my sinuses again, all was good. I would like to wish all of my family, friends and most of all my readers a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. I love just sitting and remembering Thanksgiving as a kid, with my parents cooking, and us kids watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and we would crack the walnuts and eat tangerines. Then “The March of the Wooden Soldiers” came on. I still do not like the part in Boogie Man Land—it’s right up there with the flying monkeys in “The Wizard of Oz.”

Wednesday November 29: the Women’s Community Club of Cochecton and Red Hatters of Narrowsburg & Lake Huntington are planning a holiday get-together for 5 p.m. at the Stone Arch Inn. All women are welcome. They scheduled it for November, hoping to still have good weather! Each person will order (and pay for) their own dinner from the menu. To participate in the grab bag, please bring a wrapped $5 gift. While there won’t be any big business meeting, we’ll have a couple things to vote on, such as WCCC participation in the annual food and toy drives, cookies to shut-ins and other donations; and how to resolve the Red Hatters’ treasury. RSVP by November 25 so Pam can advise the restaurant how many people to expect. For more information, give Pam DeMan a call at 845/252-7208.

Congratulations to all at Matson Bar & Grill on their one year anniversary. Matson’s has come a long way with adding a beautiful front deck for outdoor dining. They are famous for their roast beef, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches—not to mention their wings.

Keep smiling and have a great week! You can e-mail me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news, and you can always check me out at riverreporter.com in Community Living.
