I had my follow up CATscan on Friday and it was one of the hardest tests I’ve ever had to take. They made me lay on my stomach and had my chin fixed in a certain way that I could not breathe. I was told to breathe in from my nose and let out. I just keep on breathing and saying my prayers. I seemed like 15 hours but it was only 10 minutes, and I get the results on Wednesday.  I really hope I do not need an operation on my sinuses.

On Saturday I was down at the Pumpkin Festival in Barryville and I was listing to the music. I commented on how great it sounded and my co worker says to me, “That’s Slam Allen, he usually is on cruise ships.” I got to go check him out so I go over to him and he is out in the crowed playing, and I go to take a picture and I asked him about the Norwegian Cruise Line. He says, “Oh yeah, I remember.” I was on one of his cruises and sang on stage with him, had a great night. What a small world we live in.

Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid of Lake Huntington will hold a penny social on Oct 21st. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and calling at 12:30 p.m. Hot dogs, sauerkraut, soda and water will be on sale, with cake and coffee served after the calling.
