Last Friday night Pastor Phyllis and I went out for a Christmas dinner at Three Wishes, the food was so good and so was the dessert. On our way there the weather started to get a bit nasty with light snow. When we left, the snow was a little harder just sticking to the road. FYI the roads in PA stink, they were so bad. When we got over the bridge in Narrowsburg the roads improved and were much better. When I got to Cochecton the roads were great, I have to get up Skipperene hill, I turn on my road and what to my wondering eyes should appear a Cochecton highway worker in a sanding truck. Thank you to Kevin Esselman and his crew for always doing a great job on our roads.

It saddens me to say that Heinle’s closed their doors. This is a message from Mike. “To the community and everyone else that made Heinle's possible over the last 5 years, Can't believe 5 years went by so quick! We just wanted to say thank you to everyone, local and far, who have supported us. The friendships and memories made at the store will last a life time. Even though we won't be seeing everyone everyday anymore, we'll catch you around town, or at the store on the other side of the counter (yes, the store will be opening back up soon!). We are definitely staying local as we love the community, as it has been so great to us, everyone welcoming us with open arms. None of this would have been possible without you guys, and we are beyond grateful. Be on the lookout for the new owners, with a new menu, in the spring! Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year! See everyone around town! Mike, Michelle, Laura and Nick.” Michael and Michelle you are going to be missed. Where will I get my scrambled egg and ham on a buttered roll with a pinch of love. I would like to say thank you for being there for the community.
