Hope Heart Award presented to NHC nurse

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Every year, the Hope Heart Award is presented to a staff member that has been with New Hope Community (NHC) for one to five years. 2021’s carefully selected recipient is registered nurse Trudy.

A press release reads, “Trudy has always played a vital role in enhancing the lives of the individuals we support, but particularly at the Gary Goldberg Residence at 410 Larry’s Way during COVID-19. Never complaining and always acting as a leader, Trudy braved the difficulties of the pandemic when so many were at home or too sick to work.  She exemplifies the requirements of the Hope Heart Award of being person-centered, passionate and dedicated to NHC’s mission. Trudy remained steady in her commitment to being the best nurse she could be when the individuals and staff needed her most.”

Trudy’s family attended virtually and cheered her on, along with her colleagues and leadership members.
