Holiday magic galore

UPPER DELAWARE RIVER REGION — Santa listens intently to children of all ages. He held court on the Main Street Narrowsburg deck on December 5. Hundreds of families lined up to talk to Santa and to take a horse-drawn carriage ride as part of the Tusten Youth Commission’s annual tree lighting. The carriage rides were made possible by a donation from Ned Lang, and the Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce provided assistance with snack and holiday decorating. Shop owners welcomed revelers in brightly lit and decorated storefronts.

This is just one of many holiday observances, fueled by dedicated community volunteers. For more, see an ode to community spirit in this week's editorial, an interview with Hurleyville Santa in this week's IMHO, and events and holiday writeups throughout the paper. For a bevy of events, see the Where & When calendar at www.riverreporter.com/calendar.
