One of our local 4-H groups, Small Town Country 4-H, has connected with 4-H kids in North Carolina who need our help to Fill the Truck. All supplies collected will be delivered to Wilkes County Cooperative Extension for dispersal to the mountain areas of western North Carolina hard-hit by the hurricane. Huge thanks to Adam Kays, owner of Kay’s Trucking who has donated the trailer use and hauling.
Please bring all donations on Sunday, October 20 to the Hortonville Fire Department Pavilion. We will begin filling the truck immediately following the Live.Love.Serve 4-H 5K. Donations are accepted until the truck is full. Please be mindful that the roads will be closed in Hortonville from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. to keep our 5K participants safe, so we encourage truck-filling drop-offs from 11 a.m. on.
