Harry Arthur Hotzler Sr.

Harry Arthur Hotzler Sr., 88, of Olathe, KS and formerly of Pond Eddy, NY, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2020. Harry was born August 1, 1932 in Maspeth, Long Island, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, honorably discharged as a Sergeant. While in the Army, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth, and they had six children.

He was the son of Charles G. Hotzler and Ada Mary (Smith) Hotzler, one of four children. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, lifetime member of the American Legion and 60-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union #61. He went on the Space Coast Honor Flight to Washington, DC in 2017.

He loved and played many sports in high school, setting many school records and also played sports in the Army. He continued to play sports all of his life and became an avid golfer, retiring at age 82, with a handicap of two.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth, six children, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A private family military funeral has been held.
