Get ready for Halloween! As Halloween approaches, the excitement in the air is almost palpable! This time of year brings a thrilling mix of spooky decorations, ghostly stories, and the sweet scent of candy. Whether you're planning to dress up in a creative costume, carve pumpkins to make the perfect jack-o'-lantern, or enjoy a scary movie marathon with friends, there’s so much fun to be had.

Here are some events happening in and around our community:

The Cochecton Men’s Club will be hosting a kids' Halloween party on October 31st at 6:30 p.m. at the Cochecton Men’s Club Hall (the former Cochecton Presbyterian Church). There will be treats, drinks and games!

On Saturday, October 26 beginning at 10 AM, the Cochecton Youth Commission will be holding its annual Fall Festival. If you would like to participate by setting up a trunk, please call Heather 845/796-6976.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg is having a take-out-only bratwurst dinner on Saturday, October 26. The cost is $15 and includes bratwurst, homemade German potato salad, sauerkraut, applesauce, bread and apple crisp for dessert. Pick-up is from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
For tickets call the church at 845/252-3919 or Pat Hawker at 845/252-3553.

Halloween is just around the corner, and the Delaware Youth Center is excited to celebrate with the annual community give-back Halloween parade and festivities at the Delaware Youth Center! On October 26, the lineup starts at 11:45 am by Callicoon Caffe and the parade starts at 12 noon. This beloved event brings joy to kids and families from all around, featuring a spooktacular parade, delicious treats, and a fun-filled atmosphere for everyone. There is no cost to participate. Tickets and registration is not required, but registration is encouraged.
