Gary R. Quick

Gary R. Quick, 72, a resident of Narrowsburg, NY and formerly of Patchogue, NY, departed this earth on Sunday, April 12, 2020 to soar among the stars. 

The son of the late Henry and Alice Lomax Quick, he was born on December 10, 1947 in Flushing, NY. Gary was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a retired letter carrier for the USPS in Huntington, NY. Gary married the love of his life, Irene (Libby) Bradwell. They were married for 52 years. Their dream was to retire in upstate NY, which they did. Gary was active in the PTA and Cub Master Boy Scout Troop 44 (Boy Scouts). He was a member of the Huntington Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader, he was the Google before Google came along, per his children and grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Irene “Libby,” three children, Scott Quick of Mahopac, NY, Shaun Quick of Narrowsburg and Shannon Quick of Narrowsburg; grandsons Gavyn Cesarino, Jesse Cesarino, Jacob Cesarino and Eli Cesarino; granddaughters Autumn Quick and Aurora Quick; favorite son-in-law Vinny Cesarino; and beloved friends Vikky and Doug Derleth.

Because of the current condition of COVID-19, a celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.

Donations can be made in Gary’s name to the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Service (6509 Rte. 97, Narrowsburg, NY 12764) or Shriners Hospital (2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607).
