DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has announced the following entertaining and educational events:
Bird Bonanza on Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. to noon. $5 per person. Registration required.
“Spend the morning watching our feeders and putting together your own unique and custom bird feeder from a variety of recycled materials. We’ll provide everything you need, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies.”
Pond Paddle on Saturday, May 3, 1-3 p.m. $5 per person. Reservations for boats required.
“Join us for a paddle around our ponds! Beginners are welcome—we teach you everything you need to know! Dress appropriately—you may get wet.”
Frog Frolic on Sunday, May 4, 10 a.m.-noon. $5 per person. Registration required.
“Spend the morning with us at our ponds and streams! Learn about some of our frog friends as we gently catch and release these hopping amphibians. Wear boots and plan on getting wet and muddy.”
EcoZone Discovery Room on Sunday, May 4, 1-4 p.m. $3 per person. No registration.
“Climb into a bald eagle’s nest, crawl into a bat cave, explore a beaver lodge and dig in a fossil pit! Explore this indoor discovery room and enjoy hands-on exhibits on natural history, sustainability and the local environment.”
