Fourth of July weekend celebrations

Friday, July 1

East Branch, NY—The East Branch Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual Fireman’s Field Days events on Friday, July 1; Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 in Humble Park. There will be food, drinks, vendors, a fireman’s parade on July 2 and a $1,000 raffle. The park will be open on Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.,  and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 11 p.m.

Port Jervis, NY—Fireworks display from Point Peter at dusk.

Saturday, July 2

Honesdale, PA—The Greater Honesdale Partnership will hold fireworks on top of Irving Cliff on Saturday, July 2, with a rain date of Sunday, July 3. Fireworks are set to burst after the Wayne County Creative Arts Council event in Central Park. Bring your own chair.

Starrucca, PA—Free Community Day picnic and fireworks at the Starrucca Ball Field. Free food, drinks, games for kids and adults, music and hayrides. In the evening, there will be a fireworks display.

Sunday, July 3

Hurleyville, NY—Celebration at Morningside Park. Rides, music and food on offer and fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.

Lake Ariel, PA—A fireman’s parade will take place at 7 p.m.; fireworks will begin at dusk. Rain date is Friday, July 8.

Monday, July 4

Bethel, NY—Fireworks at dusk overlooking White Lake.

Hawley, PA—Parade steps off at 12 noon, with route from Spring Street to Bingham Park. Excursion on the Stourbridge Line also available, departing at 1 p.m.

Honesdale, PA—An excursion on the Stourbridge Line departs at 12 noon.  

Jeffersonville, NY — Winkelried Biergarten will hold a party, beginning at 6 p.m. BBQ, fireworks and a lobster dinner are on offer. Fee for lobster dinner must be paid for in advance. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.

Lake Wallenpaupack, PA—The Chamber of the Northern Poconos sponsors Independence Day fireworks over Lake Wallenpaupack at dusk. Seating available at the Wallenpaupack High School.  Rain date is Tuesday, July 5.

Liberty, NY—North Main Street parade begins at 12 noon across from the Elks Lodge; lineup begins at 11 a.m. Fireworks will be set off after dusk above Cemetery Hill.

Narrowsburg, NY—The annual Fireman’s Parade begins at 3 p.m. downtown, followed by the Fourth of July celebration. There will be a chicken BBQ, for takeout only, at the Narrowsburg Firehouse from 4:30 p.m. till 6 p.m. The Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce and the Tusten Youth Commission are co-hosting a family-friendly celebration with live music, carnival activities, games, food and drink. The event takes place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fireman’s Field.

Rowland, PA—The Rowland Community Center will hold a parade, beginning at 2:30 p.m. It starts at 206 Towpath Rd. and ends at the Co-op. Decorate a float, tube or boat for Independence Day.
