Fourth man arrested in gang assault incident at Knights Inn Motel

LIBERTY — The Village of Liberty Police Department arrested a fourth individual as part of an investigation into a violent gang assault that occurred at the Knights Inn Motel on Friday, March 28, 2025.

On Monday March 31, 2025 at approximately 6 pm the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Jonathan Nipitella, 43 of Kiamesha Lake. Nipitella was taken into custody without incident and charged with gang assault in the 2^nd degree a felony.

He was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail.
