HAWLEY, PA — The First Presbyterian Church of Hawley will hold a dedication service and open house to celebrate the completion of major renovations to its Roger and Helen Blough Education and Fellowship Hall and the new Jackie Wolf Wing of Blough Hall on Sunday, November 18. The dedication service will take place at 10 a.m. and the open house from 2 to 4 p.m. The church is located at 815 Church St.
The renovations to Blough Hall, funded in part by a gift from Judith Wentz in memory of her late husband, Howard B. Wentz, include a new handicapped accessible entrance off the parking lot, improved restrooms that are also handicapped accessible and an enlarged church kitchen. The Jackie Wolf Wing, which more than doubles the size of Blough Hall and includes a new, separate entrance, was funded by a major gift from Gary Wolf in memory of his wife, Jackie. The renovations have allowed the church to expand its outreach to the community. Church leaders hope that other groups will be able to benefit from the new facilities. For information on the use of Blough Hall for events, call 570/226-4835. For more information about the church visit www.fpchawley.org.
