'Early on in the pandemic'

Posted

I contracted Covid 19 very early on in the pandemic, on April 1, and spent  10 days in the local hospital in isolation, on oxygen and many different kinds of drugs. I am grateful for the competent and compassionate care I  received there, and for lots of other things. I am grateful that I recovered enough to be able to come home to my cozy apartment in the country and to spend three months in recovery at home while thankfully collecting unemployment. I’m also grateful for all the small things I used to take for granted, like fresh air and sunshine on my deck, scented baths, good coffee, home cooking, And I am so very thankful for the love, prayers and support that came from family, friends and co-workers during and after my illness.

gratitude, Thanksgiving
