Democratic women of Sullivan elect new board

HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Democratic Women of Sullivan County elected new officers for the year at their re-organizational meeting in January.

Donna Schick will take over as president, with Carol Montana as vice president, Joan Stoddard as secretary and Kathy Brandes as treasurer. At the meeting, newly elected president Schick spoke about the group’s upcoming events including the April New York State Democratic Regional Conference in Liverpool, NY and the National Federation of Democratic Women’s 48th annual convention to be held in Albany in June. The group also welcomed guests including Sullivan County Court Judge candidate Cindy Dolan; Joe Colon, who is running to represent Sullivan County Legislative District 3; Lou Setren, who is running to represent Sullivan County Legislative District 5, and Janet Lybolt, who is running for supervisor of the Town of Mamakating.
