Let us cut to the chase. Why elect me, Vincent Alukonis, as the next Town of Delaware Supervisor this November 5?

One reason is my grants administration experience. Fifty percent of the funding for the several infrastructure projects taking place in the Town of Delaware are from government grants. So it makes sense to vote for me, a person who administered three legislative grants and sat on a panel that distributed $500,000 in government funding.

A second reason to elect me, the multi-party candidate for Supervisor, is my community spirit. As president of my block association I dealt with many quality of life issues: roads, transportation, sanitation, snow/ice, low income housing and noise. I was also chosen to lead two non-profit organizations in my Brooklyn neighborhood: Crime Prevention and Youth Services. The above is my foundation to serve the residents and businesses in the Town of Delaware. Since permanently moving to the family house in 2012 I have become involved with the Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development, and the Evergreen Community Garden in Monticello (to name a few).

A third reason to vote for me on November 5 is my education relevant to the position of Supervisor. I hold the BA and MA in political science from St. John’s University. My concentration in the above field is state and local government and municipalities. Governor Andrew Cuomo, in order to be fiscally prudent at the local level, is pushing the concept of shared municipal services. When I broached the same plan in graduate school 40 years ago my professor stated it is politically unfeasible. HMMM!

I will continue our high quality of life and address future concerns in a non-partisan and multi-level government fashion.

Remember, there is no Republican or Democrat way to collect the garbage.
