HAWLEY, PA — The Delaware Highlands Conservancy invites the public to Silver Birches Waterfront to celebrate its 25th anniversary at the 12th annual Foods of the Delaware Highlands Dinner on Saturday, April 27. The evening will begin with a wine tasting and silent auction at 5:30 with dinner following at 6:30 p.m. The live auction and raffle cap the celebration during dessert. The gourmet cuisine served will be prepared using locally grown ingredients.

This year, Henry Skier, president of AMSkier Insurance, will be honored for his dedication to the community and his commiitment to conservation. The conservancy will also recognize its founders Barbara Yeaman, Greg Belcamino, Grant Genzlinger and Tony Waldron throughout the evening.

Live and silent auction items include a stay at the Lodge at Woodloch, exclusive access to private clubs, a guided float trip on the Delaware River and more. Visit www.delawarehighlands.org for a full list of auction items.

The nonprofit Delaware Highlands Conservancy works in partnership with landowners and communities of the Upper Delaware River region to conserve our natural heritage and quality of life. According to their website, “Nature as our heritage communicates the multi-generational tradition of our region’s people living in and from special relationships with our lands and waters—our farmers and foresters, hikers, hunters, fishermen, and families who love living where they have room to roam, and where they can share space with deer, bear and eagles. Our natural heritage is as much the farm and forest products that support our local economies, as it is our pristine waters and healthy woodlands.” Founded in 1994, the nationally accredited conservancy celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019 with nearly 15,000 acres of clean waters, working farms and forests, and wildlife habitat protected to date.

The Foods of the Delaware Highlands Dinner is the conservancy’s primary benefit event. Tickets for the dinner cost $140 per person, which includes a $75 charitable gift to the Conservancy. Reserve your seat, become a sponsor for  the event, or bid on an auction item if you’re unable to attend by visiting www.delawarehighlands.org or by contacting the conservancy at 570/226-3164 or 845/583-1010, or by emailing info@delawarehighlands.org.
