The family is also planning a remembrance ceremony in June nearer to his home and family in New Jersey.

A service will be held at the Hortonville Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. It will be followed by a private graveside service at the Hortonville Cemetery. A celebration of Mary Etta’s life will follow at the Hortonville Fire Department.

Borys Kekish, 83, of New York City and Glen Spey, NY, passed away May 20, 2023. Borys was born March 22, 1940 in Rakovits, Ukraine. A divine liturgy Mass was held May 26 at Saints Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Glen Spey. Burial followed in St. Andrews Cemetery in South Bound Brook, NJ.

The funeral was held May 30, 2023 at Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley, PA. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, at a future date.
