Donna L. Gries, 81, of Damascus, PA, passed away February 21, 2025 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart, PA. Donna was born March 20, 1943 in Callicoon, NY. A memorial gathering will be announced in the spring.

Elizabeth M. (Wagner) Jennings, 75, of Honesdale, PA, passed away February 26, 2025. Elizabeth was born August 10, 1949 in Carbondale, PA. Friends can visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. in Honesdale on Thursday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 1 p.m.

Harry F. Manbeck Jr.

Harry F. Manbeck Jr., 98, of McLean, Virginia and formerly of Honesdale, PA, passed away February 19, 2025. Harry was born June 26, 1926 in Honesdale. Arrangements are being made for Harry’s interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.

Norma M. Massood

Norma M. Massood, 88, of Lakeville, PA, passed away February 25, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. Norma was born September 30, 1936 in Lykens, PA. A funeral service was held March 3 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale. Interment to be at Indian Orchard Cemetery in Indian Orchard, PA.

Carl Mayer

Carl Mayer, 76, of Barryville, NY, passed away February 28, 2025 at home.  Carl was born July 18, 1948 in East Orange, NJ. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 Rte. 97 in Barryville. A second visitation will be held on Friday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Montoza Cemetery in Barryville.

Ronald P. Rogers, 70, of Hawley, PA and formerly of Deer Park, Long Island, NY, passed away February 25, 2025. Ronald was born November 17, 1954 in Newport, RI. A funeral service was held March 3 at Teeters’ East Chapel in Hawley. Burial was at Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.

Dennis “Lenny” Patrick Sheehan, 74, of Smallwood, NY, passed away February 23, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY. Dennis was born May 22, 1950 in Queens, NY. A Mass of Christian burial was held March 1 at St. Peter’s Church in Monticello, NY.

Gary R. Simmons, 82, of Honesdale, PA, passed away February 25, 2025 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale. Gary was born October 11, 1942 in Carbondale, PA. A funeral Mass was held March 4 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.
