Please note that chipmunks are related to squirrels but not part of the squirrel family. Chipmunks are part of the rat family. Chipmunks are rats with stripes.

They cause lots of damage to cars, homes, yards and bird feeders. Chipmunks exceed bears in the pest department. Watch out if one gets into your car and eats the housing on the electrical wires. Watch out if one gets into a corner of your home and has babies with all the accompanying animal waste. Don’t trip on the holes they dig.

Please tell Ms. Long not to attract these pests with her seeds.
