Catskill Regional Medical Group announces fifth location

WHITE LAKE, NY — The Catskill Regional Medical Group (CRMG) announced its fifth location in White Lake. The network has four other existing offices in Harris, Livingston Manor, Monticello and Callicoon.

“With this newest location, Catskill Regional Medical Group is expanding access to quality medical care to our Sullivan County community,” said Dr. Gerard Galarneau, president of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System Medical Group (parent of Catskill Regional Medical Group). “We are committed to delivering patient-focused care for a healthier community.”

Dr. Imran Ahmed and his staff from Bethel Medical Family Practice make up the new office: Catskill Regional Medical Group/Bethel. He serves patients of all ages, both in the office and at the hospital.



Free educational programs for seniors and caregivers

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) Caregiver Resource Center is offering free educational workshops in March at various locations across Sullivan County.

On Thursday, March 7, a web seminar on Parkinson’s Disease (PD) will focus on detecting and treating non-motor symptoms beyond traditional PD  medications. It will be held at the extension education center in Liberty.

On Monday, March 18, the Alzheimer’s Association will host an Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia workshop at Action Toward Independence in Monticello. The program will discuss the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, and current treatments for symptoms.

Attendees should arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration.
