LIBERTY – On December 18, the Culinary Arts students from the Career and Technical Education Center at BOCES took time from their studies to spread holiday cheer to community members who reside at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility. Each student delivered a homemade dough ornament. This simple act of holiday spirit put smiles on faces of everyone.
According to resident Eleanor Grant, seeing the students made the day special. “The ornaments are beautiful. What a nice present,” said Grant.
Earlier that week, the class went to the Federation for the Homeless in Monticello to decorate a Christmas tree with their ornaments.
