Bloming Grove woman arrested for Leandras law after a motor vehicle acciden

At approximately 7:15am, a trooper from New York State Polcie at Monroe investigated a 2 car accidnet on State Route 17 in the Town of Monroe.

The operator of vehicle one stated he was driving westbound when a Ford Explorer moved from her lane unsafely and struck his vehicle.

The operator of second car, 35-year-old Kathleen Kilcoyne of 3 Horton Rd, in Blooming Grove, who was driving a 2006 Ford explorer did not recall striking the other car.

During the interview, the trooper detected an odor of alcohol beverage emanating from Ms. Kilcoyne's breath. The trooper also noticed that she had two small children in the back seat, a three-year-old girl and 15-month-old boy.

Mrs. Kilcoyne was placed under arrest and transported to the station to be processed. A family member arrived on the scene to take the children and her vehicle was towed by Ralph's Tow.

A breath sample of .24% blood alcohol contne was taken. She was charged with DWI, Aggravated DWI and Felony Aggravated DWI with a child (Leandras Law).

None of the involved parties sustained injuries due to the accident.
