ARTHUR ‘JIM’ FREIERMUTH

Arthur “Jim” Freiermuth, 75, of Beach Lake, PA, died Monday morning, June 25, 2012 in the Hospice Community Care, Dunmore after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Patricia Keegan.

Born July 14, 1936 in Honesdale, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Samson) Freiermuth.

Jim was a member of the Cold Spring Chapel. He also belonged to the Boyd’s Mills Hunting Club and the NRA. Jim formerly served as a Damascus Township Supervisor. He loved to be among people, and will be remembered most for the love of his family.

He is also survived by five children: Chip Freiermuth and his wife Lisa of Beach Lake, Cheryl McCormick and her husband Rich of Susquehanna, PA, Ann Buddenhagen and her husband Keith of Narrowsburg, NY, Jim Freiermuth and his wife Terri of Beach Lake, and Jesse Freiermuth and his wife Cris of Beach Lake; a brother, William Freiermuth and his wife Evelyn of Waymart, PA, and a sister, Ruthann Reagan and her husband Bob of Beach Lake; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; an uncle, Lawrence “Cy” Freiermuth of Boyds Mills, PA, an aunt, Betty Freiermuth of Beach Lake; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbie Freiermuth.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 with Pastor Mary Bryant officiating.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
