Arline M. Staffa-Barbara, of Cochecton, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 28 at home with her family by her side. She was 75.

The daughter of the late Walter and Violet Negri Fischer, she was born March 1, 1944 in Manhattan, NY.

She was a retired claims adjustor for Liberty Mutual Ins. Co., Uniondale, NY.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier R. C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY.

A family statement read, “Arline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very talented baker, candlestick maker and stained glass artist. She also enjoyed antiquing and gardening. She looked forward to family gatherings and was a big part of the family. She will be greatly missed by all.”

She is survived by her husband Paul of Narrowsburg, NY; four children, Dena Smith and her husband Sammy of Bethel, NY; Richard Pfeiffer and his wife Lisa of Cochecton, NY, Christine Kenny and her husband Kevin of Hampton Bays, NY; and Russell A. Barbara and his fiance Malanie of Levittstown, NY; eight grandchildren: Amanda M. Kenny, Kevin W. Kenny, Samantha Violet Pfeiffer, Albert C. Smith, Jimmy, Phoebe, Kevin and Kaleesi; and several cousins.

Cremation was at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made in memory of Arline Staffa Barbara to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Office of Development, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville, NY.
