MILANVILLE, PA — Kids and their families are invited to join the Boyds Mills Hunt Club at its annual Children’s Trout Fishing Derby, to be held beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Henderson’s cabin. 

Kids can fish while supervised by their parents. 

Bait is free and free food and drinks will be available. Kids can keep their trout. Trophies will be awarded at noon for the biggest trout within each age group. 

There is no charge to participate; the event is intended to promote family activities, sportsmanship and the love of the outdoors, organizers said. 

Safe fishing will be taught, and help with baiting, casting and any other questions will be on offer.
