Taken at the Philadelphia Sportsman’s Show, here, between the two white hats, are Prince and Princess Ranier (Grace Kelly) viewing the Narrowsburg, NY booth. The advertising on the sign, states, in part: “The Delaware Valley — An Ideal Vacationland.”

In the foreground, in a light sports jacket, is the back of J. Frank Behling, owner of Peggy Runway Lodge, and right above him in the dark jacket is Nat Feagles, owner of the Hillside Inn. The Sportsman shows were very popular in the ‘40s and ‘50s, and Narrowsburg and the surrounding areas realized a great deal of business through these displays.

From the collection of Ruth & J. Frank Behling and the Tusten Historical Society.
