Alfred D. Minckler “Hop,” 53, a self-employed tree surgeon of Beach Lake, PA died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in North Branch, NY. The son of Juanita Brush Minckler Livingston and the late Alfred Minckler he was born July 14, 1963 in Callicoon, NY.


He was a former member of the Long Eddy Hose Company, Long Eddy, NY.


Alfred is survived by his mother Juanita Brush Minckler Livingston of Liberty, NY, his longtime companion Peggy Davis of Beach Lake, PA, his son Daniel Minckler of Jeffersonville, NY, his daughter Erica Jones and her husband Michael of Hanover Park, Illinois, two grandchildren Riley Minckler and Collin Glendon. He is also survived by two sisters Carmela Minckler and her husband Joseph Bates of Norwich, NY and Brenda Long and her husband Phil of Callicoon, NY and several nieces and nephews.


A celebration of Alfred’s life will be held this summer in July near the date of his birthday. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
