This is a Christmas card sent to my folks, Ruth and J. Frank Behling in 1922. Walter Berndt, well known cartoonist at the time, often visited this area and also often stayed at Peggy Runway Lodge. His Smitty cartoon was well known and later he gave permission for it to be included in the Ten Mile River Region brochure. That brochure was used to promote our area in the Sportsman's Show Exhibit at Grand Central Palace in New York City.
