Kenneth Alger III, 38, was indicted by a Sullivan County Grand Jury for Manslaughter in the Second Degree in connection with the body of Amanda Alger found in the Liberty Cemetery. more

On December 28, 2021, officers from the Village of Liberty Police Department were dispatched to a gas station on North Main Street for a reported stolen Taxi cab.  more

District Attorney Meagan K. Galligan announced that more arrests were made in connection with investigations into threats made against area schools. These arrests were for Making a Terroristic Threat which, under the Penal Law, is a class D violent felony. The additional arrests were made by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Liberty Police. more
