OCIAA names Monti’s Bassett, Mitchell senior scholar-athlete

MIDDLETOWN, NY — Monticello High School seniors Owen Bassett and Liza Mitchell have been selected as senior scholar-athletes for the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA).  The award is given to high school seniors “who have distinguished themselves in the classroom and in the athletic arena.” They were honored at an awards breakfast on June 2.

I was scrambling through the muck, trying to keep it in sight, and my foot got sucked into one of the many gloppy pits which make up my backyard.
