Loch Sheldrake man charged in homicide

Members of the Village of Monticello Police Department,following an investigation conducted in conjunction with the New York State Police, Town of Fallsburg Police Department, Sullivan County Sheriff’sOffice and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, arrested Howard A. Sanders, age 19, of Loch Sheldrake on May 21, 2018.

Garbage dump leads to arrest

LIBERTY, NY —On May, 5, 2018, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Patrol was called to investigate a dumping complaint on Barton Road in the Town of Liberty. At the location deputies met with Town Supervisor Brian Rourke who pointed out where several bags of garbage had been thrown.

Driver sentenced to six to 20 for DUI accident that killed three

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced today that Thomas James Howey Jr., of Easton was sentenced to a period of 6 years to 20 years in state prison for his role in a one- vehicle DUI crash that occurred in Greentown in 2015, that killed three men.  Howey had pled guilty on February 2nd this year to the charges of Homicide
