On Saturday August 25, 2018 at approximately 8:05 PM a patrol from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on State Route 17 westbound in the vicinity of exit 109 in Rock Hill. A gray Mazda sedan was reported to have left the scene of the accident and was being followed by a witness.

Robinson, Wayne County District Attorney, on August 7announced the arrest of wanted fugitive Connie Lynn McKeeby, age 24, for charges stemming from an investigation by the Wayne County Drug Task Force into the distribution of heroin within Wayne County. McKeeby had been a wanted fugitive since the fall of 2017.

At 2:25 AM Wednesday, Monticello officers on patrol observed Derik Powell, 29, acting out in an erratic manner on Broadway. Powell was yelling and screaming profanities while on a sidewalk. Powell then picked up a garbage can and threw it into the roadway as the officers patrol vehicle was passing by.
HONESDALE, PA — A former teacher, Gaspare Gambino, 35, of Honesdale was sentenced on July 5 to 180 days to six months in Wayne County Correctional Facility. The sentence was handed down by Senior Judge Raymond Hammill for six counts of invasion of privacy.
