Patrick L. Robinson, Wayne County District Attorney, announced the arrest of Shawn Birtel, age 47, of Hawley for numerous felonies related to a shooting in Hawley Borough during the early morning hours of April 24, 2018.
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced today that Thomas James Howey Jr., of Easton was sentenced to a period of 6 years to 20 years in state prison for his role in a one- vehicle DUI crash that occurred in Greentown in 2015, that killed three men. Howey had pled guilty on February 2nd this year to the charges of Homicide

An alleged Maryland marijuana dealer is under arrest after he set up shop at the Days Inn in Wurtsboro.
Through an active investigation, State Police at Honesdale have identified the man wanted for the February 12th robbery of the NBT Bank in Lake Ariel as Aaron Gould of Honesdale, Pa. Warrants have been issued for Gould but his whereabouts are currently unknown.
