A 32-year-old Manhattan man, Tyrone Howard, was sentenced to life in prison on April 10 for the murder of NYPF dectective Randolph Holder.
On Thursday April 13, 2017 at approximately 12:44 PM, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office received a report of a burglary in progress at 3335 State Route 42 South, in the Town of Thompson. Deputies responded to the scene and arrested two suspects at the rear of the residence.

Update April 12: State Police at Honesdale are continuing their investigation into the incident that occurred at 61 Leonard Rd in Mount Pleasant Twp. on 04/10/17. An autopsy was conducted this morning on the body remains discovered in the home as well as the burn barrel outside the residence.
HONESDALE, PA — Steven Frank Wojtowicz, age 32, has pleaded guilty to the attempted murder four-year-old Aiden Kresge. The incident took place in November 7, 2016, at a home on Perkins Pond Road, in Berlin Township.
On Thursday March 30, 2017 at about 6:00 AM the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 12 Cedar Rd. in the Wurtsboro Hills section of the Town of Mamakating. At the residence deputies found 37 year old Jose Luis Davila in possession of drugs, a scale with packaging materials, an unlicensed handgun and a shotgun.
TOWN OF THOMPSON, NY — Two men have been arrested for participating in the operation of a marijuana grow house at 70 Hill Top Road in the Town of Thompsom.

A 35-year-old queens man has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals for the killing of a 12-year-old female pug, whom the defendant allegedly threw from a balcony on March 17, 2017, following a dispute with his ex-girlfriend about who would care for the dog.
On March 8, 2017 at approximately 8:40 PM, the Sheriff’s Patrol responded to a 911 call of a burglary in progress at 225 Fraser Road in the Town of Thompson. The caller stated that a male subject threw a brick through a window at that location and attempted to gain entry.
