A 53 year old man from Saw Creek Estates in Pike County has died after being shot on the evening of February 13.

Police say Joseph Davis has died after being transported to Pocono Medical Center. Published reports say the man's wife has been taken into custody and is the person who shot the victim.

A press release from the Pennsylvania State Police at Dunmore says;  "An autopsy was scheduled for 02/15/17.  Circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation but this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.  Pathology and forensic work are currently in progress and, at this time, no additional information is being released. Additional updates will be provided in the coming days."
